BEYOND THE BROKEN HEART
There are a million pieces
Scattered
Blood-covered
Nearly lifeless …
Mutilated
Damaged
Irreparable
They are almost unrecognizable.
Beyond bullets
Beyond death
Beyond an eternity
Of hopelessness
Is nothingness
Is emptiness
Is hollowness
And despair.
Beyond betrayal
Beyond innocence lost
Beyond the lies
Beyond the broken heart
Remains
An undiscovered
An uncovered
An unannounced
Love
That never
Will be found.
