COMFORTABLY NUMB
I want to find that place
where the collision of souls
out of control
has left everything dark
and destroyed.
Light-less,
life-less,
love-less ...
with no shattered elements
splintering in --
that is the place
I want to find.
Alone among the ruins,
alone amid the ashes
of passion now spent,
just alone
and comfortably numb,
I will find
some rest.
